BbY WOW Dance Trend: Where It Started and How to Do It

What is the BbY WOW dance trend?

"BbY WOW" is a song by KAROL G, Judeline and rusowsky, released in August 2026. The bby wow dance trend uses a short part of it: about six seconds of a routine that anyone can learn in minutes, filmed vertical on a phone, often by two friends side by side.

The trend has two halves. The first is the dance itself. The second is the bby wow guy, an older party clip that came back with the song in October. Both live under the same tags, #bbywow and #bbywowtrend, and both get called the Baby Wow trend, so it helps to know which one you are looking at.

How to do the Baby Wow dance, step by step

The routine is about six seconds and loops, which is why the bby wow dance trend spread so fast. Most Baby Wow dance tutorials break it into four parts:

• Start loose: sway to the beat with your hands relaxed in front of you.
• Let your shoulders and hips bounce on every beat, cool and easy.
• Near the end, as the hook lands, bring both hands up onto your head, elbows wide.
• Keep your hands there and rock from side to side to finish, then loop.

Filming the bby wow dance with friends

The original clip was two people, and duos and trios are still the most shared versions. Stand side by side with the phone at chest height, vertical, far enough back that raised elbows stay in frame. Learn it from a mirrored tutorial first, slowed down, then speed up once the hands-on-head move lands on the hook. Red cups in hand are optional but very on-trend.

J-Hope, Jimin, Haaland and KAROL G: who has done it

The bby wow dance trend jumped from Latin TikTok to sports and K-pop in under two months. Haaland’s version in late September brought in football fans. KAROL G’s own clip with her team in September made the KAROL G Baby Wow trend official in fans’ eyes. Then, according to many fan posts on X, J-Hope and Jimin danced it in mid-October and the clip was shown at a KAROL G concert, pulling K-pop fans into the Baby Wow trend.

Spanish-speaking dance schools and TV shows in Latin America have run their own versions too, which is why so much of the trend, and the searches around it, is in Spanish ("baile de baby wow", "coreografía de baby wow").

What does "dime dime baby" mean?

"Dime" is Spanish for "tell me", so "dime dime baby" means "tell me, tell me, baby". It is the caption of the clip that started the trend, which is why so many posts and searches use it as another name for the bby wow dance.

The title is styled "BbY WOW". Most people type "bby wow", and many write "Baby Wow" because that is how it sounds. They are all the same song. Watch out for the name clash: "Baby Wow" is also a toy doll brand, and "Dime Baby" is a different song by another artist.

The AI side of the bby wow dance trend

Not everyone wants to film. In October, AI versions took off: one photo in, a clip out with that person doing the bby wow dance. The generator on this page does exactly that, without a CapCut template or an app. It also makes the party meme; that one has its own page, bby wow guy AI.
